2nd life

I've chosen my next path already. Well just a little update on whats been happening in my life recently. For the last 2 weeks, I've been working part time for this company as an office boy. So basically I have to help out to move their stocks, organise their store, do stock take as well as some admin stuff. Not a really difficult job. The working environment was really good, the staff there were really nice to me. And what I really liked about the place is that they are very flexible. So it was really easy to get along with everyone.

As for my next path, I have chosen to work for my uncle. Went to his office to day to sign the contract. So now everything is in black and white. Well this is important, even for relatives, I think some things should be written clearly, because work is work. Whatever the personal relationship is, we should keep the working relationship professional. I hope I Would not get into any miscom with my relatives. This is really the biggest issue I have with working for relatives. And I must say, the pay my uncle is offering is really quite pathetic. Not really an amount to be proud of. It was quite funny today, when my colleagues asked me what company I was going to. So I told them that it is a local SME kinda company that deals mainly with distribution of electrical products. And their immediate reaction was, "Are you sure you don't want to think about your decision again". Then I did mention that the pay wasn't that great. And they said," Aiya, thats typical of local SMEs, the boss are pretty niao wan", Hahaha, had quite a good laugh with them. Though haven't been with them for a very long time, but I will miss them. Here's wishing them luck and health. See ya all around some time. =)

Will be starting my new job on Monday, hopefully I will be able to do this job well. Actually I do not have any room to fail in this job (because its my relative's company), you know I don't like people to 'talk' during our family gatherings. especially not about how inefficient and lousy I am in front of my mum. Being typical chinese, I cannot allow my family to lose face in front of all my relatives.
